B.A.S.E. jumping competition held for the first time in Poland!!!
B.A.S.E. is the most dangerous jumping style.
That and many other events will be held at the first Polish B.A.S.E. Competition that will take place on May 1st-2nd 2009 in Gdansk (Young City area).

The name for B.A.S.E. jumping was taken from the first letters of words: Building, Antenna, Span, Earth but you can jump from anything that’s high enough. That idea was a great inspiration for the founders of the event. The competitors of the Diverse Crane Boogie will be jumping from the 146 meters high Zuraw-Grohmann crane standing practically in Gdansk city centre. Flying is freedom and freedom suits perfectly to the place that was formerly the Gdansk Shipyard. The place which is now called Young City. That legendary location in which begun the end of Communism in Central Europe is one of the reasons why we decided to set the event right there. The other, equally as important, is that in the vicinity there are tenths of shipyard cranes so characteristic for Gdansk. These old majestic cranes will set a perfect stage for the event. By this moment 30 jumpers representing 10 countries (USA, UK, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Finland, Italy, Switzerland, France, Poland) confirmed participation in the event. Everyone attending the show and taking part in the Unimil and Diverse Energy Drink adrenaline rising contests will have a chance to win a bungee jump from a 50 meter crane and by that get to at least a small part of how the base jumper feels when rushing down. Contests will be held every day of the show. The other special event during the competition will be Suzuki FMX Show (Freestyle Motocross jumping)
